Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $140,000.00
Maximum $150,000.00
Job Summary
In collaboration with the Pomona, California campus, the Director of Human Resources will act as a strategic partner and operational leader to Human Resources ("HR") leadership, ensuring seamless execution of HR programs by fostering collaboration, mitigating risks, and building scalable processes. WesternUs key priorities in HR are to improve customer experience, foster a supportive and inclusive culture, deliver high-quality support, and drive innovation with AI-powered solutions. The rapid pace of transformation and the global nature of this organization brings increased challenge and complexity to this HR leadership role.
The Human Resources Director will bring an exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking, along with a proven track record of execution, collaboration and change leadership in fast-paced environments to facilitate change management processes, foster a culture of innovation, and champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships, understand business patterns, and connect ideas to drive strategic outcomes.
- Experience and/or exposure to Project Management techniques/tools and Data visualization software.
- In-depth experience in at least one of the following areas: people strategy, workforce planning and analytics, organization design, HR transformation, transactions and restructuring, executive recruitment, learning/development, and change management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and adjust communication style to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, track performance, and deliver insights that support decision-making.
- Producing reports and visualizations that provide easy-to-understand information required for decision-making.
- Committed to working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related work experience.
OR
Masters degree/Doctorate degree in human resources or related disciplines and two (2) years of related work experience.

Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and three (2) years of related work experience
OR
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
